Doserra ↔ Apple Health
Doserra vs Apple Health Medications
Apple's built-in Medications feature in the Health app is free and already on your iPhone. Doserra adds what Health doesn't cover: stock counting with refill alerts, separate profiles for the people you care for and a PDF dose history for the doctor.

The short answer
Use Apple Health if you take a few medicines yourself, want Critical Alerts for a dose that must not be missed, or live in the US and want interaction warnings – it's free and built in.
Use Doserra if you also look after someone else's medicines, want to know when a pack will run out, or want reminders that keep repeating until you confirm. Doserra is free for 2 medications; caregiver mode, repeating reminders and the PDF report are part of Doserra Pro.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use Doserra and Apple Health together?
Yes, but you'd get two sets of reminders. Doserra doesn't import from or write to Apple Health, so pick one app for reminders and enter your medicines there.
Does Apple Health remind me to refill?
Apple's guides describe dose reminders and follow-ups but no stock count. Doserra subtracts each confirmed dose and warns you before a pack runs out – a free feature.
Which one is better for elderly parents?
If you manage a parent's medicines on your own iPhone, Doserra's caregiver mode keeps each person separate and alerts you when their dose isn't confirmed. If your parent uses their own iPhone, Apple Health on their phone may be enough.
