A Weekly Medication Record Review in Five Checks

A weekly review is a short check of your information and tools. It is not a review of whether your treatment is right for you. Use it to find stale records, unclear entries and practical questions worth taking to your pharmacist or doctor.

Check the date of your working list

Open the place where you normally keep your medication information. Can you identify the current version immediately? If several copies compete, choose one working location and clearly date archived snapshots.

Compare the information with the confirmed instructions you have received. If documents disagree, make that a question for a professional. A weekly tidy-up should reveal the conflict rather than hide it under a newly formatted list.

Check whether reminders are noticeable

Look at the alerts you use and the settings that affect them. If a banner repeatedly gets lost during a busy activity, note the practical problem. You might need a more visible presentation or a simpler way to open the record.

Do not shift prescribed timings to fit your diary without professional advice. Device settings and the organisation of your notes are within this checklist; changes to treatment are not. A test notification can check the phone without changing a medication schedule.

Check entries without rewriting the past

Scan for blank or uncertain records. Do not backfill them as completed just to improve the appearance of the week. An honest gap is more informative than a guessed confirmation.

If a gap raises uncertainty about an actual dose, contact a pharmacist or doctor for advice specific to that medicine. The review cannot reconstruct an event that nobody recorded or determine what you should take next.

Check supplies and outstanding tasks

Compare the stock record with supplies and note unresolved administrative tasks. Calling about availability, requesting a prescription and collecting an order belong on separate lines with a clear next action.

Doserra’s refill reminders use the information you enter. They do not order supplies or guarantee availability. Keep an unanswered enquiry visible until you have actually received the information you need.

Finish with questions, not a perfect score

Choose the questions you need answered and the practical task you will do next. Keep the review brief enough that you can repeat it without turning it into another demanding routine.

If you use Doserra, check the correct profile before updating anything. The free version covers two medications on the Me profile; Pro adds caregiver profiles and other features. However you keep the record, its value comes from clear and accurate entries, not a flawless-looking history.
